You’re tired of dieting and feeling overwhelmed all the time about food, body, work, and relationships. You’re tired of feeling anxious, stressed, and overworked. You’re ready to make the change and find a way to peace. You’re ready to reach out.
Several years ago, I found myself having accomplished a lot in my career and yet feeling dissatisfied with my life and more specifically my body. This dissatisfaction led me to aggressively pursue the latest diet or food trend. After several years of continuously dieting and trying to manage the increasing stress of my advancing corporate career, I came to terms that my body hatred and eating patterns were unhealthy and I needed help. At that time, I sought out a compassionate and nurturing team of eating disorder providers, who helped me through the journey of food and body image to find freedom with food and my body.
I enjoy journeying with you as you come to understand what led you to be overwhelmed with food and what unhelpful messages have been believed throughout your life.
I help clients be able to understand what stories from your life impacted you at an early age and find relief from how they are still impacting you today.
I help clients be able to be your true you without judgment or shame.
I help clients find freedom with their bodies.
When you work with me, you’ll receive compassion, understanding, skills, and the foundation to make a change. I have an intuitive approach to helping clients with eating disorders, so that well figure out what works uniquely for you. I passionately support intuitive eating and incorporate Health At Every Size approaches into eating disorder treatment for my clients.
As for some of the more practical stuff about me, I graduated from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology (formerly Mars Hill Graduate School) with my Masters in Counseling Psychology and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State. Since graduation, I have worked primarily in private practice for several years with office locations in Marysville and Edmonds, WA. I have also worked as a Program Director starting a new eating disorder outpatient day treatment program with Center For Discovery and prior to that, worked in their residential eating disorder treatment center within the Seattle area. I am a Level 4 trained & previously certified Lifespan Integration Therapist. I am also currently working on completing my Certified Eating Disorder Specialist designation through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
In my fun time, I enjoy joyful movement, drinking a good cup of coffee, and spending time with my dog, Bentley.
